The Power of United Fans!

Dear Friends,

I got so many messages from you yesterday. I don’t want to be verbose. I just simple will say, I was in tears.

I was on the train to see Madonna. I was reading every single comment you left for me, every message on Instagram and Facebook. I knew I have a lot of friends who are there for me all the time. But I didn’t know, that I have my own army of people, who has so much love and support for me and my film. Our “Like a Prayer” Film. It’s priceless.

When I went to the theatre, so many people came to me, who I didn’t even know. Someone was upset, that the last screening was canceled. Someone came just to hug me and Jeannie. Someone said to me “Oxana, what would Madonna do? She would never give up”. That’s right.

I’m not going to give up. I love Madonna so much. I spent all my time making this film about all the love that we have to her.

All the schedule for our screenings are on! We will let the law handle the rest

Like a Prayer Screening Canceled for Tonight : We’re Filing a Lawsuit

You may have heard the rumors that were on social media, and a meme spread with the word “Wanted.” For the last three days, we couldn’t sleep because we recieved hundreds of messages of the ‘Meme’ and screens of the posts, from our friends, people who don’t know us , even those that are not on social media. It was wide spread. Now we don’t even know, with this defamation, how we can do world tour screenings?

All this time we had to gather evidence to make videos of every single post that were made. We spent the last few days with our lawyer, our reputation is damaged and has affected the “Like a Prayer Film” as well.
We don’t regret the amount of money that our lawyer will cost us. We will do everything it takes to make sure that every single person who is behind this will be brought to court to be found guilty and then in a second case where damages will be paid.
Defamation was published, the defamation is objectively false, the defamation has caused financial injury and defamation is not protected Speech.
My apologies for canceling the “Like a Prayer” film tonight. It took me so much energy and effort and time to make this screening happen. We are really upset about it.
Sincerely,
Oxana Nabokova
Jeannie Buxo
